Wisconsin Pre-license (Out-of-State Licensee)

Sales license requirements

All salesperson applicants holding active sales licenses in another state other than Illinois or Indiana within the last two years are required to take the 13 hours of sales education before taking the state exam. The course is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. The state exam is administered by Pearson VUE. A copy of your out-of-state license must be submitted with the Wisconsin license application.

Broker license requirements

A broker licensed in another state does not need to complete the full 72 hours of education. See below to determine which education will be required. The broker exam is administered by Pearson VUE. A copy of your out-of-state broker’s license must be submitted with the Wisconsin license application.

  • Students have six months from the date of registration to complete all courses, after which time re-registration is required.
