Have a Complaint?

Real estate individuals and entities licensed in the state of Wisconsin fall into the categories of salesperson, broker and business entity. To determine if someone is credentialed, you may look them up online here. If you would like to apply to the WRA's professional standard committee, please apply here.

REALTOR® members ascribe to the National Association of REALTORS®' (NAR) Code of Ethics and agree to abide by the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. See the Code of Ethics here. If the behavior of a REALTOR® contradicts the Code, the REALTOR® can be held accountable.

If you have a concern or dispute with a REALTOR®, to resolve your dispute you have the following options:

Contact the Broker

Contact the individual’s broker to discuss your concern. Often, a conversation with the broker leads to quick resolution.

File Locally

File an ethics complaint with the local REALTOR® association.

ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION OPTIONS

Utilize the local REALTOR® alternative dispute resolution options. See the brochure, "Before You File an Ethics Complaint," here.

File with THE DSPS

File a complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). All real estate licensees are regulated by the DSPS, and consumers or other licensees may bring alleged violations of laws governing real estate practice to the attention of the DSPS.
