The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the professional designation offered by the Residential Real Estate Council. The highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field, the CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.

Residential Real Estate Probate Specialist Certification

April 11-12 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. each day | Virtual classroom 

REALTORS® often find themselves in a challenging position when assisting with the sale of a home due to family conflicts arising from the loss of a loved one and the probate process. This course provides probate basics to enhance your success in client interactions so you can maintain neutrality in challenging situations. 

Training takeaways

  • Understand the probate process, its misconceptions and involved parties.
  • Manage property sales in a conservatorship or a living trust.
  • Differentiate impacts between revocable and irrevocable trusts.
  • Improve communication with involved individuals.
  • Handle objections from buyers regarding probate properties.

  • Location: Virtual classroom via Zoom. Students are required to be on camera for this class. 
  • Instructor: Buddy West
  • Credits: This course qualifies for eight CRS credits, six GRI live course credits and is approved for six hours of 2023-24 Wisconsin CE elective credit. 
  • Sponsor: Co-sponsored with the Wisconsin CRS chapter.
  • RRC member discount: Members of the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) qualify for a $20 course discount. Please call the WRA to register.
